2022 DRI Senior Living and Long-Term Care Litigation Seminar

Excelas is looking forward to reconnecting with clients and friends in Nashville for the DRI Senior Living and Long-Term Care Litigation Seminar.  As always, the leadership team at DRI has assembled an exciting group of expert speakers on key topics impacting the industry.

Several sessions on the agenda are devoted to the challenges and trends involving COVID-19 litigation.  Long-term care was, and continues to be, uniquely impacted by the pandemic.  Issues including, but not limited to, staffing, infection control, changing governmental guidelines and mandates, and vaccinations have challenged facilities in unprecedented ways.  Industry experts emphasize the importance of maintaining a comprehensive library of COVID-19 documentation to defend cases efficiently and effectively.  Excelas’ clients benefit from such a “library” through our COVID-19 Comprehensive Integrated Timeline Tool (CITT).  The COVID-19 CITT contains over 10,000 documents of federal, state, and local guidelines, which are continually updated as new directives are issued.  The CITT database facilitates a quick comparison of these governmental guidelines with corporate/facility specific policies and procedures at any point in time to assess compliance with standards of care.

Additional presentations including class action trends, deposition preparation, and law firm analytics and management round out an excellent agenda covering the current challenges in long-term care.  Between the educational sessions and networking opportunities, Excelas will be listening for opportunities to continue to improve our innovative tools that support our clients in defending complex long-term care cases.  See you in Nashville September 7-9!
