Jean Bourgeois, MBA, RHIA President and Founder 440-442-7310 x 101 Jean Bourgeois, MBA, RHIA, is the President and Founder of Excelas, LLC. Her career spans 35 years of leadership experience in healthcare and medical litigation consulting. She is the former director of medical records and health information at several Cleveland area hospitals, including the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. As a registered Health Information Administrator, Jean provides consulting assistance to healthcare organizations, law firms and insurance companies across the country. She speaks and publishes nationally on leadership, health information management and medical litigation support. Jean is a member of the American and Ohio Health Information Management Associations, the American Health Lawyers Association, the American Society for Healthcare Risk Management, The Defense Research Institute, and Women President’s Organization. She serves as a member of the trustee committee for the American Cancer Society. Jean obtained her MBA from Baldwin Wallace College in Cleveland Ohio and a BA in Health Information Administration from the College of St. Scholastica in Duluth Minnesota. Megan E. Vogias, MAEd Manager, Client Engagement and Development 440-442-7310 x 107 Megan Vogias holds a degree in Organizational Communication Studies from Kent State University and a Masters in Adult Education from the University of Phoenix. For over fifteen years, she has focused on business development through client and community relationships, developing leadership staffing models, and establishing training programs for both profit and not-for-profit organizations. Megan has worked with United Christian Ministries, The Little Tikes Company, Newell Rubbermaid, Bath & Body Works, and most recently Sylvan Learning where she served as Senior Center Director and sat on their Director Advisors Board. Megan enjoys being active at her alma mater as an adjunct faculty member in the School of Communication Studies at Kent State University while also volunteering with local area student leadership groups. Joining the team in 2019 as the Manager of Client Engagement and Development, she is committed to enhancing the client’s overall experience with Excelas and developing new business opportunities. Cathy Napoli Director, Finance and Administration 440-442-7310 x 104 Cathy Napoli has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Accounting from The University of Dayton. She has over 20 years of experience in accounting and finance, primarily in the financial services industry. Cathy started her career at PricewaterhouseCoopers in the audit and assurance department. While working for PwC, she became a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). She then transitioned to a financial analyst role for one of her clients, Progressive Insurance. Cathy furthered her experience at Progressive as an Accounting Manager in the corporate finance department. She also volunteered as the Treasurer of the Board for the Saint Paschal Baylon Athletic Association. Cathy joined Excelas in 2011, where she has had a variety of responsibilities and oversees the financial aspects of the company. Michael Bohonos Manager, Information Technology 440-442-7310 x 105 In his role as Manager, Information Technology, Michael Bohonos manages large areas of IT infrastructure, network security, HIPAA security, and day-to-day IT operations. He serves as Excelas’ Safety Officer. Michael brings 12-plus years of prior IT work experience from sales, disaster recovery, and IT security. Sharon Ezzone, MBA Director, Operations 440-442-7310 x 106 Sharon Ezzone has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from The College of Wooster and a Master of Business Administration from Kent State University. She started her career as an operations manager for Evant, Inc. where she managed long-term care facilities. She then transitioned into Human Resources with key development experiences including Human Resources Generalist and Human Resources Manager roles at Swagelok Company, and then further honed her human resources skills as a Director of Human Resources for Education Solutions, LLC (dba Sylvan Learning Centers), and Human Resources Consultant positions at the Cleveland Clinic and Giesecke & Devrient America, Inc. Sharon has also worked as an independent consultant specializing in performance management, organizational development, and training. Terri Lightner Manager, Clinical Operations Terri Lightner has unique background in both medicine and law and holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Ursuline College as well as a Juris Doctorate from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law. She started at Excelas as a medical legal analyst in 2015 and was promoted to the manager of clinical operations position in 2019. Before coming to Excelas, Terri was an emergency room RN at various local hospitals including the Cleveland Clinic and worked as an associate attorney at a nationally known Cleveland-based law firm. As a First Lieutenant in the United States Army Reserve, Terri served on active duty with an Evacuation Field Hospital in Saudi Arabia during Operation Desert Storm. Terri currently leads our team of medical legal analysts, managing the department’s work flow while working closely with client services. Her combined nursing and legal expertise is an asset to our clients, as it ensures the medical reports they receive from Excelas are of the highest quality, containing the information essential for developing strategies for claim/litigation resolution. Grace Jindra, BS, RHIA Manager, Health Information Management Grace Jindra has a Bachelor of Science in Health Information Management from the Ohio State University and is a Registered Health Information Administrator. She has more than 25 years of experience in Health Information Management and has held various positions at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, from utilization review to supervisory and managerial roles. As the Manager of Health Information for Cleveland Clinic Health Care Ventures, Grace oversaw the information management practices for 7 companies. She currently manages the direction of Excelas’ organization department, Provider of Care Specialists, and Quality Review Specialists. Michelle Dietrich, RN Senior Health Information Specialist Michelle Dietrich joined Excelas in 2006 and has served in a variety of leadership and project management roles over the years. She has previously acted as manager of our organization department and as committee lead on the Excelas community outreach team. Currently, she is our senior health information specialist and also works in quality assurance. Prior to Excelas, Michelle spent six years as a floor nurse and RN case manager. She served as a volunteer on the patient advisory council at the Cleveland Clinic for three years. Terrell Meek Manager, Marketing 440-442-7310 x111 Terrell Meek has a Bachelor of Journalism from the University of Texas at Austin and more than a decade of marketing experience under her belt. As a generalist, Terrell is capable across many disciplines. Some of the projects she has worked on include the first-ever corporate credit union blog, ambassador campaigns, brand creation and management, website builds, coordinated digital campaigns, social media and word of mouth programs. Prior to joining Excelas in 2017, Terrell lived in Seattle, WA, where she spent the majority of her career in the financial services industry. Currently, she is responsible for creating and executing the marketing plan in support of Excelas’ strategic vision and growth initiatives. She acts as the sole copywriter, in-house editor, lead graphic designer, content strategist, SEO specialist, and marketing data analyst. Carrie Bencic Senior Client Liaison 440-442-7310 x 103 Carrie Bencic is a recent graduate of Vanderbilt University, class of 2017, where she majored in Medicine, Health, and Society with a focus on health policy and economies, and Corporate Strategy. While at university, Carrie worked at the Cleveland Clinic as an intern in their strategy department, researching potential partnering opportunities in surrounding states. Shortly after graduation, she joined Excelas in the Client Services department where she serves as the main point of contact for all client requests and inquiries, facilitates the onboarding process, and works to customize work products to fit specific needs. Kim Henchar, MHA, CAPM Project Specialist Kim Henchar has a Bachelor of Science in Health and a Master of Health Administration from Ohio University. She is also a Certified Associate in Project Management through the Project Management Institute. Before coming to Excelas, Kim worked in the billing department of a medical supply company. She held various positions where responsibilities included medical insurance and prescription verification. At Excelas, Kim started out as a Client Liaison, eventually becoming the Manager of Client Relations. She has since transitioned into the role of Project Specialist.
