Only companies that distinguish themselves as having the most innovative business and human resource practices can receive this honor. Considering the ten-to-one ratio of this program, these winning companies are truly innovative in their employee engagement execution. Excelas, LLC is honored to be one of the 2024 Best and Brightest Companies to Work For in the Nation for the eighth year in a row!

The Best and Brightest Companies to Work For prioritize employee satisfaction, offering competitive compensation, flexible work arrangements, and comprehensive benefits. They foster a positive work environment, encourage growth, and invest in employee development. These organizations promote inclusivity, collaboration, and corporate social responsibility, attracting and retaining top talent. Here are some reasons Excelas, LLC is one of the Best & Brightest Companies to Work For:

REMOTE WORK AND FLEXIBLE SCHEDULES
100% of our staff works remotely 100% of the time, with policies promoting flexible scheduling and convenience time, offering flexibility on where employees work and when they work.

RECRUITING AND RETENTION
The remote, flexible environment works because Excelas hires exceptional employees who are self-motivated, conscientious, organized, focused, and disciplined. Excelas has experienced tremendous employee retention rates – less than five percent turnover year over year. The average tenure of our top performers is twelve years.

ONBOARDING AND ORIENTATION
At Excelas, we strive to make the first few days impactful for every new hire. New hires receive a minute-by-minute orientation schedule prior to their start date that outlines the first few days of employment. The new employee meets virtually with each manager, executive, and company president to get a clear understanding of the organization and is paired with a mentor.

DEVELOPMENT
Periodically, Excelas employees meet with their supervisor to engage in a performance preview, which includes discussing professional and personal goals. Excelas provides cross-training and learning opportunities. Staff meetings also include presentations by Excelas clients and other professionals such as licensed pharmacists, licensed dietitians, insurance adjusters, financial advisors, yoga instructors, professional organizers, life coaches, and other wellness and inspirational speakers.

ACCOUNTABILITY
A culture of autonomy and accountability includes strategic planning and goals, monthly meetings, and weekly meetings. Performance metrics, established for each role within the company, are used to ensure that remote employees are meeting expectations. With minimal supervision, our team performs at a consistently high level of productivity and an error rate less than one percent. Regular meetings promote engagement and accountability with detailed agendas; advance preparation; opportunities for interpersonal interaction; active participation by all attendees; a slide deck with key performance indicators; opportunities for sharing achievements, concerns, and successes; a template for meeting notes; and a list of follow-up action items. The meetings promote quality, collaboration, innovation, and transparency.

ENGAGEMENT
Paylocity facilitates communications, peer recognition, forms, and information on upcoming events. Excelas also promotes communications through the Monthly Exchange Survey which solicits suggestions and allows employees to anonymously submit questions, Stay Interviews, performance previews, and one-to-one meetings. The Book Club and Outreach Team promote relationships, and it is especially fun to gather in person for holidays, the company anniversary
party, and other events. Staff Meeting brainstorming sessions are designed to seek the insight and opinion of the entire Excelas team on a variety of topics. ‘Brainstorming with Beth’ is a town hall meeting which provides employees, the President, and the Founder an opportunity to engage in a casual, virtual discussion on an annual basis. The annual Excelas Rounded Feedback & Engagement Survey is conducted via SurveyMonkey.

“Excelas, LLC continually strives to develop an atmosphere of collaboration among team members. This is demonstrated through our communications, our resources, our actions, and our commitment to be an employer of choice. We believe our values of integrity, quality, flexibility, accountability, collaboration, and innovation are what make Excelas such a special place to work.” Jean C. Bourgeois, Founder.
