News | January 01, 2012 Excelas 2012 Wellness Program Kickoff Keeping in step with Excelas’ philosophy of work-life balance, the company initiated the Excel-ness Wellness program in 2011.The program is divided into twelve monthly installments and focuses on fitness, nutrition, and stress management. The 2012 kickoff introduced the Walk Out of Work Challenge, or WOOW. In an effort to motivate employees to achieve 10,000 steps a day, all staff members received pedometers and were encouraged to track their steps for the next three months. Combining the Excel-ness goals with that of the community outreach program each employee has the opportunity to earn up to 24 hours of paid time off, as well as a donation in their name to their favorite charity. The Wellness Program coordinators are working with the outreach committee on other challenges to allow the company’s efforts to benefit personal wellness in addition to the community we live in.
