Here are our picks for the week. Don’t forget it’s the end of daylight saving time this weekend!

### ARBITRATION AGREEMENTS

CMS clearly [states the requirements for arbitration agreements](/blog/cms-ruling-long-term-care-arbitration) in SNFs. We are starting to see the consequences of not following these guidelines. ([McKnights](https://www.mcknights.com/news/providers-missteps-leads-to-nullified-arbitration-agreement-court-finds/))

At the same time, two SNFs in Arkansas are suing to declare the arbitration rule as unlawful. ([McKnights](https://www.mcknights.com/print-news/snfs-suing-to-block-federal-limits-on-arbitration-language/))

### PDPM and SNF CONSOLIDATION

So far, skilled nursing operators are hanging in there, despite predictions many would leave the marketplace due to PDPM. ([Skilled Nursing News](https://skillednursingnews.com/2019/10/pdpm-hasnt-caused-a-skilled-nursing-ma-wave-just-yet-but-could-next-year/))

### FLU SEASON

It looks like we’re likely in for a long flu season this year. The more you know about what to expect, the better. This article, written for nurses, is very thorough. ([Nurse.Org](https://nurse.org/articles/everything-nurses-should-know-flu-season/))

### POLITICS AND HEALTH

A recent survey found one in 10 of Americans felt “politics has adversely affected their physical health,” while therapists have noted more patients discussing their political concerns.
